Big Papa`s Steakhouse and Saloon in Tehachapi

Do to my job im on the road a ton stopped to get gas and saw it across the street with out door dining due to the current pandemic. Asked for a table and was sat almost immediately even with it being fairly busy. Had a beautiful view of the mountains from my table which was nice and when my food came the portions were fairly large compared to what I was expecting. I got a Chipotle grilled chicken wrap and it was delicious chicken was perfectly cooked and had great taste the lettuce was extremely fresh not a single piece was brown and the fries were the perfect in-between of crispy and soft on the inside. The host and waitress were both awesome and the food was amazing will definitely be going back when I'm in town.

Great steakhouse, spend a bit more for great quaitly and quantities. So far so good, got the filte mignon twice and loved it both times.

It is a nice place. I like the bar. I like salads.

OMG!! I couldn't decide, so I ordered the pork chop, OMG!!! IT WAS A DREAM!!! It was like it was grilled a little burnt crust around the edges, uuummmmmm yum! The veggies we're good too. But I didn't speak while I was enjoying my private moment with that pork chop, did I mention it was juicy on inside. It was the best meal I've had in years. I'm going back asap. Try the Pork Chop, you won't be sorry.

Great place . The Chipotle Blu Burger was good. This place was popping! Wednesday night line dance lessons. Multiple screens for sports heads. They even had a room full of older ladies doing a painting class. Wow!I was traveling through. I'd be a regular if I lived closer. Get in here!

I had never heard of this place, as l live out of town. I picked it, in part, because it has truck parking around back.I'm so impressed! The soup bowl is made with real cream, buttered toasted bread, and is delicate and delicious. The onion rings are the same, fresh, delicate texture, and some of the best I've ever had. Excellent fast service. Its now my favorite place in Tehachapi!

Food very tasty, fun environment despite the pandemic

Great Tuesday lunch menus. Quick service. Lots of sports being shown in the bar. Nice relaxing place to have lunch.

The steak was very good and the service was awesome, I'll definitely be going here again! It's a bit expensive, but well worth the money. I'm not big on steak but I really liked theirs and their mac and cheese was delicious.

They put together a nice patio with misters and their food's always good

Super fun atmosphere, and I love that they have separate sides of the restaurant for sit down and the bar. I love going line dancing on Wednesdays! Food is not super cheap, but everything is top quality. Best Chicken strips in town! And the ultimate bloody mary is an Instagram-worthy bite you definitely wont regret. I put four stars only for the price. As a broke college student, it is not often that I buy food here, but I am never dissatisfied when I do.

It was good overall, after they correctly cooked my filet mignon.

I was skeptical at first , a steak house in tehachapi, I was blown away how friendly the staff was , how amazing the food was and pricing over all was fair. The food was cooked just right, not foo filling but just perfect as well. The wait times for being checked are and made sure all was OK was incredible. The social distancing and safety precautions were above par. Super impressed

Great burger bat & grill joint. 2 atmospheres to choose from...bar & sport side or a more relaxed dining/family side.Tho , I've had slot of Burgers there...I usually get the Grilled Salmon Salad which is super delicious and healthy.They also have a really good Nacho but it's been awhile since I've had that.

The food was good though it took a bit longer than I had hoped.

My favorite!!! I used to drive from out of town to come here, before I lived here. Great staff and Manager. Delicious Food Lunch Menu 2 for $20 is the Best Deal

Small portions, over seasoned steaks but the mac & cheese was awesome. Seen some people get a wild looking bloody Mary. Will be back to try that.

1st time here visiting the snow from Bakersfield. Came here on a Portebello burger special day. Absolutely delicious and friendly staff. Nice little diner.

Sport bar on one side and restaurant dinning on the other side.On the sports bar side not much going on in terms of sports. Expected a little more. The items on the menu were limited due to weather and deliveries, however, the last time I was there, I was told the same thing.All and all, not a bad place just thought it could be much better. Service was very good.

This was my first time and have found and new burger place. Due to Covid 19 we dined outside. The staff was attentive and the food was very good.

Amazing!!!! Excellent vegetarian and vegan options. Many of them. I got the teriyaki burger sub incredible burger. Soooooooook good. They actually cater to veggie folks. The bread was super good too.

First and last time I will visit. I went with a friend at 1:15 pm where greeted by very friendly hostess got seated right away. A light crowd about 3 tables 2 eating and one to waiting.. Our waitress took our order a chicken sandwich and a hamburger both with fries. Then we waited. We were about to just leave because it was over a half hour when our food finally came it was 2pm then. While the food had good flavor it was only warm. NOT HOT. Waitress had said sorry took so long but nothing else. Also while waiting had not seen her for about 20 minutes. Not happy with service felt like they do not care.😠

Restaurant and sports bar. Busy on weekend nights. Sports bar seems the bigger draw. Reasonable prices, good food. Courteous , friendly Staff. Good drink selection - beer, wine, hard drinks. No unisex restrooms. Reservations not required, but might be advised if you have a group party in the bar.

Great place! Awesome food; burgers, beers and just hang out when you are thirsty! Friendly staff and service and great vibe! When in Tehachapi I always quench my thirst here! Cheers🍻Besides the Bar/Pub, their Steakhouse is excellent! Great atmosphere and the food comes exactly as you ordered! Had steaks here before and they were always perfect! Tonight I had the grilled Salmon with salad and an perfect baked potato, very, very good!

Party like your a Rock Star. Good place, but could use some upgrades Menu, outside entertainment, but it is the go to in town. I been to comedy show there, not to bad. Glad to spend my money here.
